    ABOUT OUR HAIR EXTENSIONS AND WHETHER THEY WILL WORK FOR YOU

    WHY WEAR CLIP-IN HAIR EXTENSIONS?

    Because remy human hair clip-in hair extensions are the fastest, easiest, safest way to get longer, more voluminous hair, at a price that makes sense, and in a manner that will allow you to continue living your lifestyle in exactly the way that you always have, without having to make the kinds of lifestyle adjustments or sacrifices that often come with more permanent types of hair extensions.

    CAN I WEAR CLIP-IN HAIR EXTENSIONS?

    Almost certainly yes! With very few exceptions, any woman whose natural hair reaches down to her shoulders can wear clip-in hair extensions in a seamless, undetectable manner.  Keep reading our frequently asked questions below for more information, as well as in the “Hair Extensions 101” section of our site Hair Extensions 101.     CAN CLIP-IN HAIR EXTENSIONS DAMAGE MY OWN HAIR?

    No. Clip-in hair extensions, if not worn overnight, will not damage your own hair in any manner. That’s the greatest distinction between clip-in extensions and other types of hair extensions that are semi-permanently in nature. Whereas each of hot fusion, micro-bead, tape-in or glue-in extensions can damage the hair over the period that you have them in, the removable nature of clip-in hair extensions means that they don’t stay on your head long enough to cause damage, and their removal will similarly never damage your own locks. 

    ARE YOUR HAIR EXTENSIONS MADE FROM HUMAN HAIR OR SYNTHETIC HAIR?

    Kylisstof hair extensions are made exclusively with 100% human hair. Synthetic hair is a petroleum based product, basically a type of extremely thin plastic made to try to replicate the properties of real hair. The differences between human hair and synthetic hair are many. To summarize though, only human hair can be styled using the same sorts of hair styling tools as you style your own hair with. Synthetic hair, in contrast, made from plastic, will break down under the heat of hair styling tools. Hair products will also not react with synthetic hair in necessarily the same manner as they do with natural human hair. Synthetic hair will never blend as well with your own hair as will hair extensions made from real human hair, and synthetic hair, if washed with hair care products made for natural hair, will tend to dry out and quickly degrade in quality. As a result, if a woman wants long lasting, high quality clip-in hair extensions that can be styled just as her own hair can, there is only one option; real human hair.

    ARE YOUR HAIR EXTENSIONS MADE WITH REMY HUMAN HAIR?

    Absolutely! All of our hair extensions are made with 100% remy human hair. 

    WHAT’S SO GREAT ABOUT REMY HAIR?

    Remy hair is generally considered the highest grade of natural human hair available. With Remy hair extensions, the cuticles of each strand of hair are kept intact during the initial processing of the hair, and the strands of hair are then aligned with the cuticles of each strand all running in the same direction. Each of these two steps is essential. Maintaining the cuticles prolongs the lifespan of the hair by (a) not robbing that inner protein of the hair strand of its protective covering, and (b) by aligning the cuticles of each strand of hair in the same direction in order to minimize the damaging effects of tangling.

    HOW MANY WEFTS AND CLIPS ARE IN EACH OF YOUR HAIR EXTENSIONS SETS?

    Our 18", 125 g sets have 7 wefts, and a total of 21 clips. Each of these sets are composed of the following pieces:

    1x8" (4 clip weft)
    1x7" (4 clip weft)
    3X6" (3 clips per weft)
    2x4" (2 clips per weft)

    Our 20", 165 g sets have 10 wefts, and a total of 22 clips. Each of these sets are composed of the following pieces:

    1x8" (4 clip weft)
    1x7" (4 clip weft)
    2X6" (3 clips per weft)
    2x4" (2 clips per weft)
    4x1.5" (1 clip per weft)

    Our 22", 230 g sets have 10 wefts, and a total of 22 clips. Each of these sets are composed of the following pieces:

    1x8" (4 clip weft)
    1x7" (4 clip weft)
    2X6" (3 clips per weft)
    2x4" (2 clips per weft)
    4x1.5" (1 clip per weft)

    As you can see, each of the sets has a total of 41 lineal inches of hair wefts, with the major difference being the number of hair strands per lineal inch, which results in the different hair thickness of each type of set.

    WHAT ARE SEAMLESS CLIP-IN HAIR EXTENSIONS AND WHY ARE THEY BETTER THAN TRADITIONAL CLIP-IN EXTENSIONS?

    Seamless clip-in hair extensions offer several clear advantages over traditional fabric clip-in hair extensions:

    • Seamless skin-weft technology means that the base of each weft is approximately HALF the thickness of traditional, machine stitched fabric sewn clip-in hair extensions. This is a HUGE difference. The incredibly thin profile of our seamless hair extensions therefore allow the hair extensions to sit closer to a woman’s head, making them practically invisible…and isn’t that the point???
    • The super sleek design of our seamless hair extensions vastly reduces the need (as is often the case with traditional, fabric sewn hair extensions) for a woman to tease her hair above where the hair extensions are clipped in order to hide them.
    • Because seamless hair extensions are easier to conceal than traditional clip-in hair extensions, they (a) can be worn higher on a woman’s head than would be the case with the traditional variety, and (b) can allow a woman with finer hair to wear a somewhat heavier set than would normally be the case with traditional, fabric clip-in hair extensions.
    • The seamless, silicone skin-weft technology used to bind the hair strands together with our seamless hair extensions, while being as flexible as it needs to be, is also somewhat firmer than the lace used with traditional clip-in hair extensions. This allows for easier installation, and the best possible, natural looking results achieved through positioning the hair extensions perfectly along the line of your hair part.
    • The seamless, silicone band, skin weft technology perfectly fuses the hair strands together, resulting in less shedding and tangling than is the case with traditional clip-in hair extensions, leading to hair extensions that maintain their thickness, and overall last longer than is traditionally the case with fabric sewn clip-in hair extensions.

    ARE ALL YOUR HAIR EXTENSIONS SEAMLESS?

    Yes. All Kylisstof clip-in hair extensions are made with seamless skin weft technology. While we were developing our products over the past year, we realized that the clip in hair extension industry was experiencing a revolutionary transformation, specifically in relation to product design. As seamless weft technology has continued to improve and become better known, most women have recognized the huge advantages of seamless clip-in hair extensions over the traditional fabric (usually lace) design. The effect of this on the industry is that most clip-in hair extension retailers are moving over to seamless designs and abandoning the traditional fabric design. Seeing no point in adopting outdated technology, we chose to be 100% seamless from Day One.

    WHERE DOES YOU HAIR COME FROM?

    Our hair is of Asian origin, and our factory only buys from human hair distributors dealing in ethically sourced hair. We make it a point of pride to know that our manufacturing partner is not only one of the most experienced makers of remy human hair extensions, but maintains an ethical company culture of fair dealing and investment in its local community. 

    WHY DO YOU USE ASIAN HAIR IN YOUR HAIR EXTENSIONS?

    We use Asian hair because its properties are ideally suited for the types of hair extensions that most women desire, and because of its durability. First, due to the generally circular shape of each hair shaft, Asian hair’s natural state is relatively straight, with very little frizz. It tends to have a soft and silky natural feel to it that most people find ideal. Asian hair also has the highest number of cuticle layers (an average of double the number found on Caucasian hair) which provides maximum protection to the inner protein portions of the hair, and when Asian hair is stretched, its cuticles break they tend to stay in one piece rather than shatter as is the case with Caucasian hair. This is what helps make our hair extensions so soft, silky and durable.

    WHAT’S ARE “SINGLE-DRAWN” AND “DOUBLE DRAWN” HAIR EXTENSIONS?

    Single-drawn extensions are where no extra care has been taken to remove the shorter hairs from a set of hair strands destined to be made into a weft. This leads to very uneven thickness from the root of the hair strand to the tip, and resulting in a thin, straggly look at the bottom of each hair weft. In the case of double-drawn extensions, a person has actually, by hand, gone through each set of hair that will be made into a weft, and removed as many of the shorter hair strands as possible. It’s not feasible to remove every single shorter strand, but in a high quality set of double-drawn hair extensions, you can expect that the majority of the hair strands will run the full length of each weft from top to bottom, creating a fairly uniform density across the entire weft. As should be obvious, this extra process require extra labour, which in turn costs money, making double-drawn hair extensions significantly more expensive than single-drawn hair extensions.

    ARE KYLISSTOF HAIR EXTENSIONS “DOUBLE-DRAWN”?

    Yes! Every set of Kylisstof hair extensions are “double drawn”, guaranteeing that our Silkys will be thick from top to bottom, ready to transform your look with extra voluminous, lusciously long locks. 

    WHY ARE ALL OF THE HAIR STRANDS  NOT THE EXACT SAME LENGTH?

    Our ultimate goal is to create hair extensions that match perfectly the properties of a woman’s own hair. Just as a woman’s own hair naturally grows at different rates, and because it sheds 60-100 hairs per day, resulting in her hair being composed of strands of differing lengths, so do our hair extensions reflect the natural look of a woman with a healthy head of hair.

    HOW DO I CHOOSE MY WEIGHT AND LENGTH?

    We have designed our three sets of hair extensions to be optimally compatible with one of three types of hair. Finer hair, hair of average thickness and thick hair. But how do you know what kind of hair you have? Easy. Take all of your hair after it has air dried, and make a tight ponytail. The measure the circumference of your ponytail. If the circumference of your ponytail is less than 2 inches (5.1 cm), then you hair finer hair. If the circumference of your ponytail is more than 4 inches (10.2 cm), the you your thicker hair. If your hair is between 2-4 inches (5.1-10.2 cm) then you have hair of average thickness.

    We strongly recommend that women with fine hair stick to our 18”, 125g sets. For women with ponytails greater than 2.75 inches (7 cm), we would recommend going with one of our 22", 230g sets. For women whose ponytail thickness ranges from 2-2.75 inches (5.1-7 cm), the options are a bit more varied. If her ponytail is just at the 2" mark, then likely either the 18" or the 20" sets would blend really well. From there until she starts getting close to the 2.75" mark, either of our 20", 165g or 22", 230g sets would blend well, the only consideration really being what kind of length she wants. For those women with short, shoulder length hair, we only recommend going with our 22”, 230g sets, as the woman’s hair at the point of blending will be thick, meaning that a lighter set might appear stringy in comparison.

    HOW DO I CHOOSE MY COLOR?

    Our Kylisstof hair extensions come in many different color combinations, most of which appear as solid (though multi-tonal) shades of black, brown and blonde, the rest of which are ombré and balayage combinations of two of our primary shades, and balayage combinations of two of our primary shades.

    Choosing your hair extensions color can be a stressful process, which we want to simplify for you. The first thing we recommend is to look at your hair in a well sunlit room (but not in direct sunlight), while watching the following video which goes into greater detail explaining our colors, as well as explaining how to choose the color that is best for you.

    One thing to keep in mind however, is that just as your own hair is filled with naturally occurring highlights and lowlights, with golden, red, or silver undertones that jump out when you’re in natural sunlight, so too are Kylisstof hair extensions multi-tonal in nature, meaning that each solid color is actually comprised of a few different hair tones which will become more apparent in a naturally lit setting. This means that, provided you pick the Kylisstof color that most closely matches the color of the bottom 6-8 inches of your own hair (which should be the lightest portion of your own hair), your hair extensions should blend beautifully with your own locks.

    HOW DO I WEAR AN OMBRE OR BALAYAGE SET OF HAIR EXTENSIONS?

    For women with multi-shaded hair, our strong recommendation is to always go with a set of hair extensions matching the lightest tones already present in your own hair. To the extent that you want to color match your hair extensions to the hair on your own head, we would recommend taking them to a professional colorist who can color parts of them darker to match the darker portions of your own hair.

    Kylisstof also has 3 different shades of ombré hair extension sets, as well as 3 different shades of balayage extension sets, so for those women with an existing ombré or balayage look, each of these might be a perfect tone match. To the extent that they are not a perfect tone match, don’t despair, because the whole beauty of an ombré or balayage look is to be found in the multi-tonal nature of the look, which is in many cases amplified by the addition of hair extensions whose lightest color is an additional shade lighter than the lightest shade already present in your own hair.

    The beauty of having short or medium length hair is that you can wear ombré or balayage hair extensions without ALREADY having your own hair colored in an ombré or balayage, enabling you to experiment with these styles without having to get your own hair colored. The key thing is to match your own hair color to the darker of the two shades in the ombré or balayage set. If your hair is extremely long and only one tone, then an ombré of balayage will be harder to conceal if the tips of the ombré don’t generously exceed the length of your own hair. In that case, we would strongly recommend going with our 22” long extensions, which will likely be longer than most any woman’s natural hair, and thus enable you to successfully pulls off this look. Finally, and in order to achieve the most natural look possible while wearing an ombré or balayage extension set, we would recommend having your extensions cut and blended by your stylist, as doing so will make them undetectable.

    HOW DO I PICK MY OMBRE OR BALAYAGE SHADE?

    If your hair is already an ombré or balayage, then you’ll need to match the base (darker) color, as well as make sure that there isn’t an unnatural clash between the colors at the tips of your own hair as well as the lighter color at the top of your extensions. Our ombré and balayage sets are designed for ultimate blending, and as such are no more than 3 or so tones apart.  So if your own ombré or balayage hair color takes you from a super dark brown at the top to a platinum blonde at the ends, we’re pretty confident that none of our ombré or balayage sets will work for you (until your hair changes color!). Each of our two ombré sets were designed with a beautiful fade from the darker tone to the lighter tone, and faithfully reproduce a very natural look. Our three balayage sets exhibit an even more subtle, elegant fade from one color to the next through a feathered transition zone at the middle of the blended area. Either of our ombré or balayage sets produce stunning results, which look exactly like they would if they were done in a salon, and a woman’s choice as to which look she wants will be driven by her personal tastes and the particular look she is going for. The key thing that we recommend however, is to remember to make sure that the lightest color of your ombré set  is never darker than the ends of your own hair, otherwise it may look unnatural to see the hair going from darker to lighter, back to darker again.

    IS MY HAIR TOO SHORT TO WEAR CLIP-IN HAIR EXTENSIONS?

    We’ve found that, so long as a woman’s hair reaches down to her shoulders, there is no reason why she can’t wear clip-in hair extensions in a seamless, undetectable manner. That said, we do find that a blunter hair cut does make it a more challenging exercise, which is why we always suggest that a woman get her hair properly layered if she wants to wear clip-in hair extensions.

    WILL KYLISSTOF HAIR EXTENSIONS SHED?

    In an ideal world, no hair extensions would ever shed. The reality is that there is always the possibility of some shedding, though under normal conditions of use, there should be fewer than the 60-150 hairs that an average woman’s own head sheds per day. This is one of the major benefits of seamless hair extensions, in which the hairs are fused into a silicon band that is much more effective at holding the strands of hair in place than is the case with older fabric sewn technology. So while you may see the occasional shedding, we are confident that no other brand of clip-in hair extensions will ever shed less than our Silkys.

    WILL KYLISSTOF HAIR EXTENSIONS TANGLE?

    Because our hair extensions are 100% remy human hair, the possibilities for tangling are greatly minimized as compared to non-remy hair. That certainly doesn’t mean, however, that they will never tangle. If that were the case, you would never get tangles in your own hair.

    HOW DO I MINIMIZE TANGLING?

    Though tangling can never be completely eliminated, it can be minimized in several ways. First, always brush your extensions using a high quality de-tangling brush. There are many options out there, but the one we love the best is the Wet Brush®. Always be gentle while brushing out your hair extensions however, starting from the bottom of each weft and working your way up towards the top. Should you encounter tangles, don’t be overly zealous in brushing through too aggressively.

    The next step to minimizing tangles is to guard against those factors that tend to encourage hair tangling. Tangles often occur when the hair cuticles become damaged, and this is more likely to happen when hair is over-styled, over-processed, subjected to alcohol based hair care products, or denied the natural conditioning and nourishment that comes from the oil off of a person’s own scalp. Given that the strands of hair in hair extensions do not receive any natural conditioning from the oil off a person’s scalp, their care routine needs to substitute artificial conditioning agents for those natural oils that are no longer available to them. This is why we recommend not washing your Silkys any more than once every 15-20 wears, and when you do, using an intense hydrating hair mask to help the cuticles soak up the restorative agents within the mask. . One might also use a hair oil from time to time, which will also really help in keeping the extensions from drying out and thereby becoming more prone to tangling.

    DO YOUR EXTENSIONS ONLY COME IN COMPLETE SETS OR CAN I BUY A WEFT?

    Kylisstof hair extensions are sold exclusively in full sets, our lightest set being 18” long and weighing a total of 125g, our standard set being 20” long and weighing a total of 165g and our heaviest set being 22” long and weighing a total of 230g. Unfortunately, we don’t currently sell our hair extensions one weft at a time. 

    HOW DO I TEST MY COLOR UPON RECEIVING MY SET OF HAIR EXTENSIONS?

    Our Silkys are shipped to you in a box specially designed for shipping and storing full sets of hair extensions. This box has two compartments in it, a large one and a smaller one. When we ship your hair extensions to you we divide your set into two. All of the set, except for one sample weft, is placed into the larger of the two compartments, and that compartment is sealed with a sticker. The sample weft is placed into the smaller compartment, which is not sealed, allowing you to open it upon receiving the box. Consider this sample weft as your tester weft, provided to you to test the color of your extensions against your own hair. You should take the tester weft out of the box, go to a place with natural (but not direct) sunlight, and hold it up to your own hair, focusing on the bottom portion of your hair, which has been exposed to sunlight the longest and is therefore typically the lightest.

    If you determine that there is a match to your own hair color, you can go ahead and break the seal to the larger compartment and open it up in order to access the rest of your set of Silkys.

    If you determine that there isn’t a good match, then you should not open the larger compartment, but should rather follow these instructions in order to exchange your Silkys for the right shade.

    CARING FOR AND USING YOUR HAIR EXTENSIONS

    HOW DO I CLIP-IN MY SOFT N’ SILKY HAIR EXTENSIONS?

    Now we’re talking! Our seamless clip-in hair extensions are so easy to install that, with a bit of practice, you should be able to pull it off in less than 5 minutes. Take a look at our video showing you how easy it’s done.

    HOW SHOULD I CARE FOR MY HAIR EXTENSIONS?

    As we at Kylisstof like to say, “hair extensions are just like people; the better you treat them the longer they’ll stick around” So treat your extensions as you would your own hair, only a bit better because unlike your own hair, your hair extensions aren’t being nourished on a continual basis by the natural oils coming off of your own scalp, which can lead to them becoming dry and damaged unless you take extra steps to protect them.

    This means the following:

    • Brushing your Silkys carefully before and after every wear;
    • Storing your Silkys in the elegant box that they came in;
    • Not sleeping or swimming with your Silkys clipped-in;
    • Wearing your Silkys an average of 15-20 times between washing them;
    • Using a premium quality, hydrating shampoo containing no alcohol or sulphates;
    • Following up the wash by using a premium hydrating conditioner;
    • Finishing off the washing process by using an intense hydrating mask;
    • Using serums or oil treatments to help condition and restore the cuticles of your hair extensions; and
    • Styling your extensions using a slightly lower (120C/250F) heat setting on your heat styling tools and always using a heat protectant spray prior to using a heat styling tool on your extensions.

    CAN I COLOR OR BLEACH MY HAIR EXTENSIONS?

    As Kylisstof hair extensions are 100% real remy human hair, they can be colored a darker tone, though they cannot be bleached a lighter tone. If you choose to have your hair extensions dyed a darker color, we suggest only ever having this done by a professional colorist, although please note that we do not recommend coloring extensions as this will almost certainly shorten their lifespan.

    Our Silkys go through an intense dyeing process at the time of manufacturer which, by design, make them not only impervious to fading, but extremely resistant to bleaching. The amount and type of bleaching that would be required to successfully bleach our hair extensions would almost certainly destroy them in the process due to the tremendous damage that bleaching does to human hair, whether it’s on your head or in a set of hair extensions. If you want to have highlights in your extensions to match your own hair, and you really insist on coloring the extensions in full knowledge of how this will reduce their lifespan, then we always recommend buying one of our lightest blonde shades, and then having a professional colorist put in low-lights.

    At the end of the day, if you want to put any darker color in your extensions, and as much as we recommend AGAINST doing so, we do insist that you take them to a professional colorist to be colored. When you’ve invested so much in a set of hair extensions, you want to make sure that the color job ends up being right the first time rather than having to do it more than once, and possibly put excess wear and tear on your beautiful Silkys. 

    IS IT SAFE TO USE HEAT STYLING TOOLS ON MY HAIR EXTENSIONS?

    Yes, absolutely, with the following qualifications. First, make sure to always use a heat protectant spray prior to using any heat styling tool on your hair extensions. Second, style your extensions using a slightly lower (120C/250F) heat setting on your heat styling tools than you would for your own hair.

    HOW OFTEN SHOULD I WASH MY HAIR EXTENSIONS?

    We recommend washing your extensions no more than once every 15-20 wears. Remember, your extensions are not receiving oil from your scalp, so they will take a long time before they start picking up any odors from your own scalp, and the only thing that you’ll ever want to wash out of them is hair product. If you tend not to be a heavy user of hair product, you might even be able to get away with more wearings between washes.

    CAN I GO SWIMMING WITH MY HAIR EXTENSIONS CLIPPED-IN?

    In theory yes, but simply because something is possible doesn’t mean that it’s equally advisable? Our Silkys are 100% real remy human hair, and as such they can stand up to the same types of things and activities that your own hair does. That said, the whole point of clip-in hair extensions is that you can remove them when engaging in activities which can be rough on hair, such as for example swimming, whether in salt water or chlorinated water, none of which is great for your own hair. Not only is the salt or chlorine in the water harsh on your own hair, but anytime you wet any hair (be in on your head or in your extensions), you temporarily weaken the strands and introduce the possibility of tangling or hair breakage while brushing the hair out. For all these reasons, if your goal is to maximize the lifespan of your hair extensions, we strongly advise against swimming with your Silkys.

    CAN I SLEEP WITH MY HAIR EXTENSIONS CLIPPED-IN?

    As with swimming with your clip-in hair extensions, simply because it is entirely possible to sleep with your clip-in hair extensions doesn’t mean that we recommend doing so, and in fact we would strongly advise against doing so. The reasons are simple. In the same way as your own hair can sometimes get tangled and knotty while you sleep on it, as the positioning of your sleeping head on the pillow can cause the hairs to run in weird ways, leading to the cuticles rubbing up against each other in opposite directions, so too can this happen if you sleep with your Silkys clipped-in. You may then awaken to a mess of tangles and knots that may be a real pain to straighten out. Our strong recommendation is always be sure to spend the 60 seconds it takes at the end of each night to take your Silkys out of your hair. If not, you’re asking for trouble.

    WHAT HAIR CARE PRODUCTS CAN I USE ON MY HAIR EXTENSIONS?

    Because our Silkys are 100% natural remy human hair, generally speaking, any hair care product used on your own hair is suitable for use on your hair extensions. That said, because your hair extensions aren’t being continually nourished by the natural oils off of your own scalp, we recommend using only premium quality hair care products on them, and to religiously avoid using any products containing certain types of alcohol or sulfates as these can dry out and damage your hair extensions, and lead to their premature degradation.  Click here for some details on what compounds are good or bad for dry hair

    HOW DO I STORE MY HAIR EXTENSIONS?

    At Kylisstof, we’ve designed the packaging used to deliver your Silkys to you to double as an elegant place to store them when they aren’t clipped into your hair. Alternatively, we have found these “Honey Can Do” clamp style pant hangers work absolutely amazingly as well, and cost between $2-3 each. Please take a look at this video for a more in-depth demonstration of how to do so.

    CAN I DO EVERY PHYSICAL ACTIVITY THAT I NORMALLY DO WITH MY HAIR EXTENSIONS IN?

    As with swimming and sleeping, we don’t advise engaging in demanding physical activity while wearing your clip-in hair extensions. Because your extensions don’t have the benefit of constant nourishment from the oil off of your own scalp, you want to minimize the amount of stress you put on your hair extensions through such things as washing at too short an interval.     HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO CHANGE OR CANCEL MY ORDER?

    Typically our order processing process takes 2-3 business days before any order is shipped out. Should you wish to change or cancel your order, please email us as soon as possible at info@kylisstof.com, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

    CAN I CANCEL OR CHANGE MY ORDER IF IT HAS ALREADY SHIPPED OUT?

    Unfortunately, once an order has shipped, we have no manner of calling it back should you thereafter want to cancel the transaction or change any aspect of your order (apart from shipping method). In that case you will need to wait until you receive your order, and thereafter go through the applicable processes that are in place for returning or exchanging your item. Please see our Returns and Exchanges policy for more details on this.

    I’D LIKE TO UPGRADE MY SHIPPING OPTION. CAN I DO THAT?

    Absolutely, provided that the item hasn’t yet shipped. Please send us an email as soon as you have decided to change your shipping option, and we will put your order on hold, send you a custom invoice for the extra shipping charges, and once we receive notice that this invoice has been paid we will release your hold on your order.

      WILL I BE TAXED ON MY PURCHASE?

      For residents of the United States of America, no sales tax will be charged on your orders, other than those residents of the State of New York.

      For residents of all other countries to which Kylisstof will ship, as a general rule we cannot determine in advance what additional taxes, tariffs or duties the fiscal authorities in your country will levy on the goods that you purchase from us. We can, however, provide you with a heads up as to what we think are a possibility for two regions in particular.

      For residents of Canada, and depending on which province you live in, your hair extensions will typically be charged anywhere from 5-15% for the GST/HST.

      IN WHICH CURRENCY DO YOU SELL YOUR HAIR EXTENSIONS?

      All of our prices are quoted in US Dollars, and the transactions are processed in that currency as well. Should you be ordering outside of the USA, please consult an online currency exchange rate calculator in order to give you an approximation of what the price will be in your own currency, however be aware that the exchange rates shown on these types of sites may differ from the exact rate given by your banking institution for foreign exchange transactions charged on your credit card.

      RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

      CAN I RETURN OR EXCHANGE MY HAIR EXTENSIONS?

      Yes, absolutely, provided that you comply with, as applicable, our Return Policy or our Exchange Policy. In each case we require that the return or exchange be initiated through an email to us within thirty (30) days of your receipt of your extensions set, and that the security seal sealing closed the larger, top compartment of your box has not been opened or tampered with in any manner.

      DO NOT BREAK THE SECURITY SEAL ON THE TOP COMPARTMENT UNTIL YOU ARE 100% SURE THAT YOU WILL NOT BE EXCHANGING OR RETURNING YOUR SILKYS.

      HOW LONG IS THE RETURN/EXCHANGE PERIOD?

      As is the hair extension industry standard, you may apply for a return or exchange within thirty (30) days of receiving your hair extension set.

      HOW DO I RETURN OR EXCHANGE MY HAIR EXTENSIONS?

      If for some reason you’re dissatisfied with your hair extensions and want to return or exchange them, the first thing you need to do is immediately email us at info@kylisstof.com, and in any case within 30 days of your receiving your Silkys. We will then issue you an RMA# once we’ve established that you are entitled to a refund or exchange on the basis of either our Return Policy or our Exchange Policy.

      When you email us, we would also ask that you provide us with CLEAR images of the following:

      • A photo of the front face of your box;
      • A photo of the bar code seated on the top face of your box;
      • A photo of the right-hand side of the box where the sticker sealing the larger compartment closed is located; and
      • A photo of the back face of your box.

      These photos will enable us to assess whether or not the security seal on the larger compartment of your box has been broken, in which case the warranty would be voided and you would non longer be entitled to a return or an exchange.

      IF RETURNING YOUR HAIR EXTENSION SET FROM OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES, PLEASE BE SURE TO WRITE ON YOUR PACKAGE “RETURN NO DUTIES” OTHERWISE YOUR PACKAGE WILL BE RETURNED TO YOU.

      Finally, we really want to know why everyone who returns or exchanges their product isn’t 100% satisfied, so we would love for you to tell us in your email your reasons for returning or exchanging your Silkys.

      CAN I SHIP MY HAIR EXTENSIONS BACK TO YOU WITHOUT AN RMA#?

      Unfortunately no. The RMA# provides us with the blueprint for properly and efficiently processing your return or exchange, and we need to ensure that we are providing you with the correct address to which you will need to ship your extensions.

      WILL I NEED TO PAY TO SHIP THE EXTENSIONS BACK TO YOU?

      Yes. If for some reason you want to return or exchange them for a different set, we require you to ship the extensions back at your own cost.

      Shipping times can always vary. We all know that. That said, we can generally predict that, based on where you are located, the following will be the normal amount of time that your hair extensions will be in transit:

      • USA (Free Shipping Option) – 5-7 business days
      • USA (Priority Mail) – 1-3 business days (depends largely on customer's proximity to New York
      • Canada – 5-10 business days
      • Outside of North America – 6-20 business days

      HOW MUCH WILL SHIPPING COST ME?

      All extensions sold in the USA are eligible for free shipping via USPS First Class Mail. USA Customers have the option of upgrading to Priority Mail for our discounted cost of doing so. All International orders will be shipped at the cost of shipping to that country.

      WILL I BE ABLE TO TRACK MY ORDER?

      Yes. All of our shipments are shipped with tracking and delivery information included. We will deliver the tracking information to you upon shipping the goods out and you will be able to track your Silkys as they make their way to you.

      WHAT DO I DO IF THE SHIPPING COMPANY SAYS THAT THE ITEM WAS DELIVERED BUT I NEVER RECEIVED IT?

      All of our items are shipped with tracking and delivery information. We are NOT responsible in any case where the shipping company indicates that your package was delivered to the address that you provided at checkout when you claim that it wasn’t. As our goods are all shipped with tracking information, then at the point at which that the shipping company indicates that they delivered your goods all risk of loss transfers to you. If you are unable to locate the goods, then it will be assumed that they were stolen, at which point we can only suggest that you contact the relevant authorities, as well as contact the shipping company that was used to deliver your goods and push them to investigate the matter and to provide you with answers.       CAN I CHANGE MY SHIPPING ADDRESS AFTER I PLACE MY ORDER?

      Yes, but you need to contact us quickly, because we will be unable to recall an order than has already shipped.       Should you wish to upgrade your shipping method, we will place the order on hold, send you a custom invoice for the increase in shipping costs, and then release the hold once we receive confirmation that the custom invoice is paid.  

      I LIVE OUTSIDE THE US. WILL I NEED TO PAY TAXES, DUTIES OR TARIFFS?

      How many days do I have to return my Silkys?

      As per the industry standard, we provide each customer with thirty (30) days from receipt of their hair extensions to exercise their right to ask for a return and refund.

      Changed your mind and no longer want to buy your Silkys?

      If you decide that you don’t want to go through with the purchase, we ask that you immediately email us to initiate the return and refund process, as we will only do so if we receive that email within thirty (30) days of your receipt of your extensions set.

        Entered Your Address Incorrectly?

        Sales Taxes on US Orders

        We do not charge sales taxes on any US order, other than for sales made to residents of New York State.
